These people (poker source online) are a bunch of doofuses. They emailed me like EVERYDAY asking to verify my information so I could take advantage of the free bonus for
carbon poker since there is an 8 week shelf life of the offer from the date you request it. I finally had a free minute so I requested they call me on the phone (this is a mandatory prerequisite). I get a phone call from a 'customer service specialist' and she begins asking me the usual information...blah, blah, blah. All of a sudden, she abruptly interrupts me and asks what phone number I requested to be called back at. I told her the number (my husband's cell phone) and immediately the 'tone' of our conversation went South. She became SO RUDE even after I explained to her my cell phone had been stolen and I was waiting for a replacement through my cell provider's insurance. Needless to say, she more than hinted at the fact I could be an impostor and was therefore trying to take advantage of 'free money'. Well, mind you I wasn't in the best mood prior to this conversation, so once she eluded to the fact I was a thief and a liar I lit her @$$ up like a Christmas tree.
So I have effectively been told by the idiot who was initially blowing up my inbox incessantly regarding this moronic offer in the first place that "You should take your business elsewhere" and how he "Knows the rep who called me and doesn't know who I am and therefore believes her side of this story". WOW! Now that's what I call customer service!!!!!
Anyways, these people are totally lame and this program which you have to jump through rings of fire to qualify for is equally such. Personally, I prefer Pureplay.com for Hold'em. They are a reputable USA based poker site. You get 30 days of 'elite' member status for free. If you decide to keep your elite status, you only pay a flat fee ($19) per month to participate in all cash games. There's never any additional fees, feeders, or BS.
