Hiya US Poker Players,

Could it be a break in the dark clouds that loom over us? 888 Holdings, the internet's giant gambling operation seems to be pretty optimistic about US legalization of online poker.

So much so they are going to apply for a online poker license in the state of Nevada. They would be the first to attain a licenses on American soil and are currently in negotiations with Caesars for a partnership.

The Caesars Entertainment group is a strong advocate for online poker in the US and sees it happening soon for US players.

This brings a renewed hope to poker players who have suffered since Black Friday.

This sure is a good news and great beginning.

I think you're right - it will be sooner than we think (well at lest I hope it is).  Have you seen HR2366 - the Online Poker Act of 2011?  This has been introduced so far and is looking for state by state legalization of online poker.  This will definitely be something to watch.

The way it is looking i think Washington is going to be the first state to legalize online poker. There is a heavy campaign under way their to convince the residents to vote it in.

Unfortunately online casinos are not looking to good right now  Cry

I totally agree Lips but I think that once these states see how much they can make from online poker, perhaps they will change their mind.
