I can advise you a site , where you can learn more about poker strategy.
It is pokerstrategy.com . I don't want to make promotion of this site  that is why
I want no more tell you about it.

I see you was advised to use pokerstrategy.
Yes it is really a good site for all poker players.
Starting with amateurs of this game and finishing with the proffesional player.
Many of them started to play poker using this strategy.
You must read all strategy and choose information for you.
Then, when you will be more skilled you will change a little this strategy accordind to your stile of play.

I've been playing poker for a while and the one thing that's for sure is that the best way to go about it is to play a lot of hands. Start out at at poker room that offers low limit tables like 0.01-0.02 and join up at freeroles so you don't go totaly broke the first day.
When you feel that you begin to get a hang of the game then you can try to go up a level and remeber you have to play the levels.

You can mabe bluff someone on the low tables but as you progress upwards the same bluffs may and will most sertainly not work in the next levels because the players are usually better.

Then you have your own human factor to think about.. the worst time to play is when you are tiered.. pissssst of Smiley or to continue to play after several losses.. take breaks and get yourself quality time out in fresh air Wink That workes wonders for me anyway!!

May the poker gods be with you as they say! Smiley

Enjoy
