Hey Terri,
Your right, you did have a full house, but what I think might have happened and maybe you didnt catch it, is although the person had a straight, he, or she probably had two 9's in his hand, which would have given him three 9's and two 4's. Beating your three 4's and two 9's. It happens to me all the time, and I hate it, but am very aware of that when I have a beatable full house. Hope helps and I certanly hope your didn't lose big money over it, cause I probably would have been all in, depending on how he was betting. Good Luck, Oh buy the way that's my favorite game.

Is there not a hand history on the site you played on? You should be able to see what the other player had.

Double your money games are usually good games. Its fairly easy to get your dough back with these types of tourneys and people "generally" tend to play quite well.

I won't complain about people playing Omaha H/L poorly--that's what draws me to the game! As far as that full house vs. straight flush hand goes, I guess nothing is shocking in Omahaha.

Full house with a str flush at the same table happens. I happens in Texas holdem too, and when it does, you want to be playing at the same table or even better, be the one with either of those hands. I was at a table when two players had something great, dont remember what, I think it was 4 of a kind losing to a str flush, and everyone at the table recieved 200 bucks and the two players split 6 grand.
JACKPOT!!!!

Wow - how cool is that. Check this out for 1.2 million bad beat jackpot. I bet the guy sitting out could have kicked himself - $41,719 he lost out because he wasnt dealt in the hand. Idiot! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KisuKW8KQio
