Last few days i had ups as downs ( and all arounds ), but today I managed to come 3rd out of 1296 entrants.

I had a real chance to win this one, as I was the chip leader at final table, but it was a wild west with every1 going all in... Still a good result

Not a big brag, but a medium one.

Missed the $1 biggie tourney tonight.  Played a $5.50 entry sit n go NL holdem.  10 players.

Was a nice game.  No stupid players.  Took second place for $15.  I was happy.

My faith is restored!  (at least for a little while)

Yes.  Whenever you can cash in a tourney it is a big plus because it is very hard to do.  I often wonder how the same people are always at the final table in WSP and other big tourneys.  But lately I am noticing some new faces too.

I still believe a lot is luck and luck must be on your side, but then again...a lot of the same people are always there.

Would appreciate comments on how much you think luck figures in.

I do think luck comes into play for sure. Perfect example of that is bad beats or someone who plays a horrible hand and raises a 2 7 off suit and you are sitting on AK and lose.

Sometimes some of the most difficult players for me are the newbies because they are just learning the game and make calls you would never consider and end up winning.

After losing left and right in the past few weeks, today I came 4th ( dammit! ), playing $82 buyin NL Holdem ( 6 seats Hyper-Turbo ).

Im bit disappointed as I had the chip lead at final table...
