Congrats Zuga!! It is still a nice return on your $82 investment even tho I'm sure after being chip leader at the final table and finishing 4th,it was a disappointment. One way to look at it is,it's money for MORE poker tourneys..LOL.

A very tasty win - congrats Zuga.  I see the poker pro came 2nd so your 4th is a fab result.

A great job indeed but I understand the frustration when you are the chip leader on the final table.

I hear your frustration Zuga and while I understand it, I can't help but find your end result quite admirable! Final table and right behind the pro! Good job!

Not a huge win ($1 buyin) $17.02 1st prize so not really a brag.

I was chip leader for some time and even onto the final table.  I did drop to 3rd at one point but fought back to whoop butt!  It was a great game and I was definitely on form.  Only 46 entrants though).  I really need to up the stakes more.

In the money is always good! Number 1 is even better! So, you can brag, yes, yes you can! Good  going!

Now off topic for a noob question (can't help myself  8'| ) ... I see the screen says, "Final Table Deal Making Possible" and I have never seen that before... what does that mean?

Nice going blue!

Katt...I am thinking it means that if the final 2 make a deal they can split the 1st and 2nd place winnings?  Or 4 players can split evenly?  Not 100% sure though.

Thanks everyone.

Katt - yes medtrans has it right.  There is a little box just above the chat box that gives you the option to make a deal.  There is a yes box and a no box. It shows how many have selected each box (in this case everyone had left it on no).  If there are say 4 of you left, they take the top 4 prizes and if everyone agrees to make a deal, the game is paused and the players left in decide how to split the money.  They can either go by chip count or position - not sure exactly how they work it out but it is down to the remaining players to decide how they want to do it.  I've seen it on the big money tables where the prizes are huge and it's definitely worth doing a deal on those.  At no point during the final table, did anyone select the yes box (except me when I was playing around with it).

Thanks for the explanations... That would really be a hard thing to decide I think. At that point you are in the money no matter how it ends... but oh man...

I'm not sure what I would do if it was a big paying tourney.

If we use Zuga's recent win as an example.  He was chip leader when he went to the final table and ended up being 4th.  It was a fantastic result but had everyone on the table made a deal at the point of entering the final table (assuming it was available), he would have been better off than he was.  On the other side of the coin, he could have gone on to win and scoop the first place prize which would have been more than he would have got if he did a deal.  It's a very tricky decision to make and I'm glad I wasn't faced with it tbh (even at that low level).

Are you ready for my big brag?  I lost $100 at the slots today so decided to play some free poker.  Katt told me about BetOnline so I signed up.  They had a freeroll starting so thought I would join it and play while I watched the Badger game.

It was a $75 freeroll.  1500 players.  1000 chips stack.  There were rebuys and add on, but I didn't have any real money so I couldn't do those.

Played for 3 hours and came in 10th place.  Prize you ask?  None other than a whopping $2.25.   LOL  That's like working for $.75 an hour.

Anyway it passed the time and now I can enter some real money tourneys, although they will have to be small ones.   :)

That is correct. As soon as we reached the final table there was an option to discuss the potential deal and call for chat operator.

But neither of us even considered discussing the deal, especially not me coz of my chip lead. If we had made a deal then yes i would of made at least double what I eventually made coming 4th.

But at this point I was going for a big payday and a glory :P , so even if some1 suggested splitting the prize i would of passed it.

I made around 8 final tables so far ( 6 were big cashouts ) and few times i was the short stack and never considered splitting the cash. If you are there you may as well go for the top prize.

Medtrans - you came 10th out of 1500 and that's a great result.  You now have some cash to win some more cash and so on.  Great job and well done.

Zuga - I agree with you totally about wanting to go for that first spot especially when you are chip leader or even when you are not.  It definitely is a tough call.
