carbon poker took away my comp points!

reciently carbon poker switched from comp points to "vip points".  they didn't convert old comppoints to vip points though. i had 13,000 points and all i can do with them is purchase a ticket to a freeroll where i might possibly be able to win vip points ! WOW

I'm no longer eligable for thery're free rolls .
 i can't even purchase a t-shirt now ( not that i'd want to anymore)

I used to recommend everyone to play at carbon poker but not any more
 i'm really dissapointed

Hi Phantom,

Did you contact support and ask them about it? Maybe if they know how unhappy you are you can retrieve your points. Let us know what happens if you do.

I decided to have a word with live chat and ask them what they have done with your 13000 points

Here is the important bit of the conversation:

CS Abby: Yes that's right, we have recently updated our VIP program last Apr 1.
worldplayers: he is not a happy player
worldplayers: sowhat can he do about his 13000 points?
worldplayers: that are no longer there
CS Abby: As for the old comp points, it is still on his account but not displayed at the software.
CS Abby: It is located at your player admin under the Purchase Tournament Entry section.
CS Abby: From there, you can trade in your old compooints for tournament entry coupons.
CS Abby: *comp points
worldplayers: ah right - but can you buy T shirts ?
CS Abby: Unfortunately you can purchase merchandise using the VIP points instead.
worldplayers: can or cant?
CS Abby: Old comp points are only intended for purchase of tournament entry coupons.
worldplayers: oh ok - I will pass it on
worldplayers: thanks for your help
CS Abby: Thank you for your understanding

  really appreciate your efforts. thats so nice of you!

I know i can buy into a "freeroll" for 10;000 points and try to win the new vip points or i might loose them all.

   i just think they should have converted the old comp points into the new "vip points"

 also the vip points are much harder to earn under the new system so it's going to be harder to earn the bonus money they release in increments.

 they changed the rules in the middle of the game. still dissapointed but very impressed that you took the time to help. THANK YOU!

Your very welcome.  Its just a shame that you can't do much with all those points.  You clearly have played a lot on their site and the rewards for all your loyalty are clearly not enough to compensate you for that.

Its a damned shame.
