Sometimes you can get a fantastic hand and nobody is betting.  Let's use     as an example and you've raised pre flop and you get a couple of callers.

The flop comes down     and you've hit quads.

You check, hoping that the other two players will bluff or at least take a chance at stealing the pot..  The next card comes down and let's say it's , what are you going to do to get as much cash as you can out of the two players at the table?

If you bet big, they may fold, if you bet small, they still may fold thinking that you've hit something i.e. a King and if you check, you make nothing.

What would you do in this situation?

I'd love to hear your comments.

I've had the same thing happen to me...as I'm sure it has to most players.... Laugh out Loud I usually try a small bet, hoping they will still call.Yesterday I had 4...5's and called all-in and surprise...surprise....I had one person call  Surprise Cool Laugh out Loud.It does seem to happen tho blue, like you mentioned..that these kind of hands come around when the others players do not have much of a hand Tongue

It happened when I had a royal flush too - no bets at all.  Just checking all the way.

In the end I decided to just make it look like I was trying to steal the pot and bet absolutely huge and ridiculous.  My one opponent raised all in over the top of me and of course I called.  I was very surprised at the re-raise but very happy too.

I've had many hands like this one too...and of course they all seem to happen when I'm in first position. I've had various outcomes with them...sometimes I get lucky and have an aggressive idiot and other times I've won nothing!

In situations like that i always check at the flop and pray someone will try to bluff. If they don't then i will make a small raise on fourth street or river. But with a Jack showing i may fear a straight and bet a bit higher to stop them from chasing it.

It's definitely a situation that you don't want a conservative table. Ideal for the big bluffers and those trying to steal every other pot.

What makes me crazy is i have been at the table with huge bluffers who with my luck decide to fold when i have a hand like this. Makes me nuts!

Lips....let them chase that straight...4 of a kind beats it...unless they manage to hit a straight flush!
