So what if thebus had Ac, 6c instead of A8 off?  Hero is sunk.  Not sure I would have raised his $49.00 bet.

Have to agree Med, I probably wouldn't have raised that much.

At this point I would go all in after his raise. I rather thought he had something from turn or river.

Hero was trying to show strength with his check raise action on the turn but it was indeed a dangerous move.  The bus probably should have re-raised at that point instead of calling and taken down the hand.

My main issue with the raise was that we get nothing to call us 99% of the time that we have beat.

If you think your good, why not call and let them bluff again?

Ofcourse you could argue that the river could beat us so why not take the hyand on the turn, but I still feel that raising the turn is nothing more than turning a mde hand into a bluff which Im not a big fan of
