I was  just wondering if any poker players have witnessed chip dumping in a game.

I have seen it quite a few times - most commonly on one of my favourite sites.   I was involved in a game where I saw chip dumping taking place on so many occasions during the game.  It was a man and a woman playing - they always played together.  Not that there is anything wrong in playing together but when you chip dump its a different kettle of fish.

Anyway - where there were few players in the hand and she was BB (he always sat on the right of her) and she had a lot of chips - he would raise big, she calls.  Flop comes - he goes all in she folds.  Its the same pattern time after time - whoever is the chip leader out of the two - they dump chips on the other one.

Its certainly worth looking out for during a game and its not something that any player should suffer at a table.

Let me know if you have ever seen it.

I see it everyday on fulltilt at NL50 in tables of 6 players two players comes and sit in positions 3 4 the games begin players A raise 8$ player B re-raise 20$ all players folds flop comes and player A raise 10$ player B Raise all-in players A fold and re-buy :Smiley well some hour later the player B is on 500$ and the player A is in 0$  Cheesy its funny see the chipdumping because when you win a pot you win the double example player A raise 10$ player B raise to 30$ I Raise all-in of 50$ whit (AA)  Tongue both players calls and they lost  Grin but well some times they won whit crap.

i've seen it also...but i think the whole point of "dumping chips" is because the one doing all the losing has made a dishonest deposit and is losing their chips to someone who can cash it out for them   Angry

You would be right for ring games - definitely!  But for tournaments and sitngos - its more to ensure the other player has plenty of chips to make it into the money.
