for both online and land based..

When people decide to cheat at Poker,  more often than not they are going to use sleight of hand as an ally.  This is done by holding the cards in a certain manner used to perform many nuances of cheating in Poker.  One of the most common methods of holding the deck is referred to as The Mechanic’s Grip.

The easiest way to explain what The Mechanic’s Grip is would be to adjust your grip on the deck so that your index finger and middle finger move from the long side of the deck to the short side of the deck away from youself.  It is through this grip,  which conceals more of the deck with your hand,  that cheating methods such as peeking,  second dealing,  and bottom dealing are facilitated.

Another common variation of The Mechanic’s Grip is to hold the deck with the thumb on top of the deck,  the index finger holding around the front edge,  the two middle fingers beneath the deck,  and the little finger around the rear edge.  As with the aforementioned variation of The Mechanic’s Grip,  much of the deck is concealed with your hand.

The most common form of online cheating is player collusion. That's when two or more players reveal to each other what cards they hold. This form is more difficult to pull off in a live game, but playing online gives players the chance to have a fellow player on the phone with them, or sitting next to them at another computer

Colluding players would have to hit up a high-limit table, then flee to another online poker room with their winnings and never look back.

To know what cards all the players have at the table is one of the ways to cheat. But it's impossible to cheat when the game is through online. So how they are cheating while playing online?

While playing online poker, it is important to be aware that it is easy for friends to join in the same table and to give away their hands and making a strong team against the individual player. In order to be effective in trap players, the cheaters need to be sitting apart from the game table.
When you are able to know that how the cheating has happen and how they do it, then you have to know the tricks, how to spot them at your poker table.
Thousands of poker members are there through out the world and it is not easy to find out the cheater and it is also impossible that friends are playing at the same time with using so many sites or at the same place and at the same time.

If you are unable to find out the cheater, the customer care service should be reported about the problem and the customer care service will take all the responsibilities and look into the game history of the persons to whom you are thinking as a cheater and it will also look after the patterns is there any.

To know who is the cheater is you should be most wary at the high stakes or No Limit tables, it is the place where the cheater may make the biggest profit, and it is the responsibility of yours to watch out them carefully to find out the cheater.

So much cheating goes on at online poker sites it's sick! One of the best ways to cheat is with friends at the same table for big money. Hell... rent out an office space, set up 5 computers, five head sets... and do nothing but make money.
You have to be a fool to play for big money online at a table with 5 others, cause the odds are... they know each other well......VERY well!
