Is there a side that comes out that you didnt know you had?

Hi Poker Players,

I have to admit my favorite game is poker. I will play any kind of poker. Of course the most i play is Texas Hold em. I sometimes feel i love the game to a fault.

By nature im pretty calm. Takes alot for me to REALLY get mad. Most of the time i try to be the calm in a storm. But when it comes to poker............a whole new me emerges!

I have been known to get up....pace....slam cabinets.....and swear like a drunken sailor! When i get over my fit....i wonder who is this person? I think sometimes the only difference in me and Phil Hellmuth is i keep it well hidden!

I never let the player know im ticked......going thru all the motions...."nh..wtg". And inside little do they know as im typing this i'm callin them names you won't find in any dictionary!

Many times i have to walk away for awhile from the poker world....and i will ask myself....is this really fun.....i'm so angry why do i put myself thru this. The answer.........You bet it is....I love this game!

Well Lips,

I see a little bit of me in what you have written. 

Im calm and easy going most of the time in my life but bad play and good luck of other players on the poker table just brings out the worst language you ever heard.  Im so glad its online as Im sure I would be thrown out of a real life game.   I am so bad sometimes, I have told myself off on occasions for using some of the words that I use which obviously can't be repeated here!

The answer I have found is walk away...make a tea....get back to the game and play tighter.  And when the idiots type "nh" or "vnh" to a winning all in on 2 3 off ...I remind them that in fact it was 23 off and "if thats your idea of a nice hand...." etc etc.

So in answer to your question - there is a bad side to me that tends to only come out when playing the one and only wonderful game known as texas holdem.

Ditto to both of you.  I quit because of stupid play by others.  I was at the point that it seemed I couldn't beat anyone.  When I would watch the WSOP on TV, a few years ago it was always the same group of pros at the final table and I would wonder how they did it time and time again.  However, in recent years there are more newbies or people never heard of before.  I find that very interesting.  What do you guys think?

The slots are killing me financially so I was thinking recently that I might try poker again.  What is a good site for US players?

I used to play and do well at Ultimate Bet but i haven't played there since my hard drive crashed.  Maybe its time to have another go at that site.  Its not a bad site at all.
