Glad to hear that Orren - which site by the way?

I play at Sportsbook, Felt Stars, and AWH. They were all down and back up at same time (same network of course).

Not certain but I think I was playing at Felt Stars when they went down.

Thanks Orren.

Did they have anything to say about what happened and did they pay you out on your freeroll?

I know you all have said that merge was down but I played all day yesterday at AWH and G2Gpoker.  But this morning, I went to live chat and was told that g2g was off line and that they were working on it.  They would not answer any questions as to if they were shut down or anything to do with the DOJ.  I live in Texas and it is not one of the states that's disallowed.  Any word on what's going on?

G2Gpoker is back online and is having a Ten dollar freeroll at 2:30!  AWH is back on line too.  Back to poker.

There was never any explanation that I received. Nor did I receive any payout for the freeroll. I believe the just took the people that were in the pay bubble at the time and paid them. Never seen it done that way, but it was a freeroll so I can't really complain.

You should find it in their T & C about their network going down - all remaining players should receive a share of the pot dependant upon the number of chips they had at the time the tournament crashed.  I would check their T & C and have a word if it is the case.

Is Merge to Stop Taking US Players?

Surprising decision, considering the soaring traffic

Even though it has continued taking US players after the infamous Black Friday, which resulted in increased traffic, the US-oriented Merge Poker Network from June 3 reportedly stopped taking new US players for an undefined amount of time. Existing players are unaffected by the new policy and will continue to be serviced as usual.

This unconfirmed information follows the company’s decision to stop rake back payments. Merge’s temporary ban of new US signups so far caused a boost among its competitors, but also support and processor administrative difficulties for the company, which needs time to resolve the issues.

Prior to this, Merge stopped taking new players from anti-online gambling oriented US states, including New York, Washington, Maryland, Missouri and Louisiana.

Merge Network was highly popular among US players, and it comprises Lock Poker, Carbon Poker, RPM Poker, Hero Poker, Felt Stars, GR88 Poker, Overbet Poker, Poker Nordica, PDC Poker, and Iron Duke, among others.

With Merge’s new move, new US online poker players have a small choice of networks to play in - Yatahay, Cake, Bodog.eu and Everleaf.

This doesn't look good I have to say.

Yeah, I found a NDB for Carbon a little bit ago but had been putting off jumping through the hoops to get it. Finally got motivated after balances of $0.00 and a decent crap run at freerolls lately. Just for me to receive the message "no longer accepts US players".

1 day late, go figure. Almost never pays to procrastinate yo.

Hi Kynettie,

(I had to adjust your post so I could see what you had written)

Yes you can register for all of them if you wanted.  I'm a member at many of the merge sites.

Something I just caught in the terms and conditions when I attempted to sign up at carbon. You can only claim the first depositor bonus 1 time total on the merge network. In other words if you claimed it at Carbon and then signed up at Felt Stars, you can not then claim the first depositors bonus at Felt stars.

This is something I myself was unaware of and thought I should share, because they will let you claim it and at some sites it automatically adds it.

Thanks for that Orren. What a ridiculous rule particularly as you say, at some sites it's automatic.
