Poker chat for new poker players

Quite often I can be sitting at an online poker table and I will write something in the chat and another player will ask what does it mean, so listed below is some poker "chat" you may see when playing.


ul = unlucky
gl = good luck
bl = bad luck
nh = nice hand or gh = good hand
gf = good fold
nb = nice bet or gb = good bet
fu = **** you!  yes it is said quite often!  The stars represent the obvious.
bs = bull sh*t - can be in reference to a large bet/bluff or the player getting lucky with rubbish
nk = no kidding and nfk - I guess thats obvious
lol = laughing out loud
lmao = laughing my *rse off and lmfao = laughing my ****ing *rse off
wd = well done
wp = well played
n1 = nice one
wtg = way to go
wtf = what the **** (used often - a sign of shock or horror!!!!)
ffs - for ***s sake

If I think of any more I will add them to this post.  Hope this helps new poker players
