What makes Texas Holdem Saloon (USA OK) different to other USA poker sites?

This site seems to have a really good RNG (Random Number Generator) or Random Card Generator.

They are convinced that their card shuffling system is the best one out there. In fact, they are so convinced that they built an online poker room around it.

The "Quantum Photon Shuffler" is essentially an unpredictable, scientifically- proven quantum-mechanical process inside a special, impregnable, 'hack-proof' “black box”.

All online casinos use an RNG, but not all RNGs are the same. Of course, for security reasons, they can’t tell you exactly how theirs works; but they can give you an idea:

At the start of every game, the table asks for a freshly shuffled deck.

The Shuffler requests a clean set of random data from the RNG.

The RNG generates purely random data using the simple yet highly reliable and secure mathematical representation of the statistically random behavior of photons (particles of light) when fired through a half-mirror – or a mirror which allows only 50% of all light to be reflected while the other 50% passes through. As it is impossible to tell whether a photon will pass through or be reflected, the resulting data is a totally random string of ones and zeros, or binary code.

Just to be sure, the Shuffler monitors the output of the RNG for randomness.
If the data is clean, the string of code is translated into a freshly shuffled deck.
This process is repeated again on the shuffled deck - i.e. a double shuffle.
The cards are then sent along a secure, encrypted line to the table – a freshly double-shuffled deck.
Before each card is dealt out, a re-shuffle of the remaining cards takes place. This means that each dealt card has been randomly drawn from a freshly reshuffled deck, each and every time.
And so on, until the game is over and the next one begins. This process of continuous shuffling is a measure of added protection to ensure the highest level of randomness and security that can be obtained.

A unique system:

It is impossible for player actions to influence the cards.
It is impossible to predict future cards.
As all the shuffled data is sent along a secure, encrypted line, it is impossible to intercept card data
Hole cards are only visible to the players that hold them. Even their floor manager cannot see what you are holding until the game is finished.
The design is simple and therefore failsafe.
The “black box” shuffler is itself set within a totally secure system.
The only thing which can enter their shuffler is a secure, coded request for a freshly shuffled deck of cards.
The only thing which can come out of their shuffler is a shuffled deck of cards.

I'm sure this is a big comfort for players on this site and I for one will be depositing on here.

You can definitely play smart on this site Rose.

The min deposit is $20 and I think that will last a long time as they have so many cheap tournies on here too.  You can see the details of all their cheap tournaments HERE.

Wow, this sounds like a great new site... the constant shuffling does sound like the cards will be truly random. And so many cheap tourneys! I think you may have come up with a real gem here blue! I imagine we will still get the all-in-aholics playing, but perhaps this will prevent them from getting an advantage out of that kind of play...

On that subject, I have been noticing that the people who repeatedly go all in with nothing in their hands take each other out of the competition pretty quickly and the games settle down after they are gone. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just doing the wishful thinking thing?

No, you're definitely not  doing the wishful thinking thing Katt.  This happens most times in a freeroll and it's rare to find a table early in the game that will play properly.  I always play tight at first unless I have AA of course.  Once all the idiots are out and the game settles down, then you can start playing properly. So in answer to your question, yes I have noticed it.

I hope this site meets our expectations, which I'm sure it will.  It's an "easy on the eye" site and easy to use, so no probs getting around this one.

Well, I went straightaway and signed up at this site and played for a time in the play money games. Although it is only a small test, I do think the shuffling thing makes a difference.

I was on a 4 player SNG table. Of course the All-In players popped up there a lot because there is a constant reload of play money, but I was able to stand my own with them because when I did bet against them with a smaller stack I was able to take the pot on the merit of my cards and not just be decimated by them. I had several of them reloading their play money every few hands. Laugh out Loud

What fun do these all-in players get out of poker? Rarely get to play a hand through or learn the other players at the table? It just does not seem like they are even playing poker to me.  Study

They aren't playing poker Katt.  They are playing AT poker.  They will never learn the game if they carry on like that.  With these kind of players, it's always only a matter of time before they get knocked out.

I'm really glad you had a good experience with the RNG.  USA players have been crying out for something like this.  Let's hope all our "testing" comes up with the same result (which I'm sure it will).

You are right blue, I have adopted a plan for them, especially in big tourneys... Whenever 2 of them bet, I fold any hand less than AA and let them wipe each other out. And like you, I play tight on all hands at the beginning of a game, until they are gone and poker can begin.
