have any of you read of the "intrinsic advantages" of playing
cash games with a short stack buy-in (25 x BB or less) and if
so have you tried it ?

basicaly your waiting for very tight openers and all in before
the turn. what i've read makes sense to me but i'd rather first
post a question here then a bet at the table.

It is a very good tactic for newcomer in poker.
I played short stack in partypoker when I was a beginer.
I won a little money using it , but I have accumulated bonus points
and received additional 100$.
It was my starting capital wich gave my poker career start.

I this tactics have both advantages and disadventages.
If you begin to play poker it's very good one.
Because if you lose you lose a little.
But if you want to play advanced poker where you can win a lot it is not so good.

I have read  something about short stack.
It is a very good tactic for me.
Because I am beginner and play not very well.
My only arm is all-in.
That is why this tactic is so good for me.

You must not use this strategy of plaing poker.
Because you will never win money with this strategy.
You better learn more about playing flop, turn and river.

There are a couple of circumstances that you will play-in on short:
1. u got really good hands and if u do have good pockets, do it before preflop - that way u get rid of anyone that is chasing a flush and u know whom first off have decent hands.
2. u r in last position (so big or small blind) and its only 1-3 people in and u have decent hands (or shiet) but everyone else has only called preflop. U r stuffed if anyone else around the table has good hands.
3. u hit a full house or high K-A flush on the flop.

You know you should really read up on: position betting and also when to call, raise and fold on pre-flop, flop, turn and river.

People go all in pre-flop when they have a really short stack but umm.. its easy to get knocked out. so dont ever play restless, kiddies.

Well I'm my experience the strategy works in low limits like NL4 NL10 NL25 and NL50 (0.02/0.04$ - 0.05$/0.10$ - 0.10/$0.25$ - 0.25$/0.50$) but you need a more poker skills if u begin playing at medium and high limits I'm stars on all sites whit 25$ or 50$ deposit beginning whit the shortstack strategy
