Take care when searching/signing up to poker sites

I just wanted to warn you all about poker sites (and of course casino sites) that are not what they appear to be.

I just did a search for a well known poker site and I clicked the site listed first and something about the site just wasn't quite right.  The address of the site was feasible, the look was fantastic and exactly as it should have been.

I clicked the promotions and all it said was "download".  I clicked all over the place and it just didn't seem right at all.  So I typed in the known address for this poker site and voila, it was up to date, the promotions were listed and so on.

So I did a "whois" doman name check and both are very different.  One (the correct one) is a company and the other (the incorrect one) is an individual.

I just wanted you all to be careful as you may be signing up and giving away your details to unscrupulous affiliates.

I advise for safety's sake to use all LCB/LPB/LBB/LSB links where possible.   At least you will know your details are in safe hands.  If you can't find the casino/poker site/bingo site listed on the forum, make sure you check that you are signing up to the real site by clicking all the links to see what is on offer.   If you are still not sure, I'm always happy to help.

That goes for all sites that you find in search engines of course , but especially financial and governmental sites.. you should always look at the full address usualy listede underneath the headline for the search listing.

And something to add .. sometimes but mostly these recent years you will see a " sponsored link " listed , i never go through that portal if you will to that site.
