Ready to make a
mad dash to the bank? Just keep playing
poker at
Americas Cardroom (USA OK) all February long because they are handing out $100k in free cash in a $60k month-long marathon and four weekly sprints worth another $40k.
The 60k MarathonThe race for big money starts with the big $60k monthly Points Race. Just keep playing poker at Americas Cardroom during the month of February and you’ll automatically be a part of it. As you play in real money Ring Games and tournaments, you’ll collect points toward the leader board. The more points you collect, the higher you’ll climb up the leaderboard. At the end of the month, they will freeze the leaderboard and award players with cash based on their rank.
You earn points toward the leader board, while you play and generate rake in real money ring games and tournaments, players have to contribute directly into the rake of each pot you play in.
This way you will earn leaderboard points based on your contribution to the rake of each hand.
Players earn 1.25 points for every $1 contributed to the rake.
For tournaments players earn 1.25 points for each $1 of tourney fees paid.
Example:
At a 9-handed full ring table, everybody folds except for 3 players (A, B and C) who see the flop, each paying $10 pre-flop.
Player A goes all-in on the flop for another $35. B folds and C calls the $35.
The total pot size is now $100. At the end of the hand $5 rake gets taken from the pot.
So, at the end of the hand, here is how the rake will be determined: Player C, who put in $10 and folded on the flop, would be credited with $0.50 (10% of $5), while the other two would be credited with $2.25 each (45% of $5).
There’s 275 big monthly winners. First place gets $8,000.
The 40k SprintEach weekend in February, from Friday through Sunday, Americas Cardroom are holding a $10k Points Race. It works just like our $60k marathon, but only points earned in Ring Games count toward each special $10k Sprint leaderboard.
Points towards this leaderboard are earned by playing in real money raked ring games, everyone dealt into the hand shares equal credit for the rake. It makes no difference if they play the hand at all, this is known as dealt rake methodology. Many sites are moving away from this, but we are embracing it every weekend for 3 days!!
Players dealt in earn 1.25 points for every raked hand where the pot is raked $1.
When using the dealt method, this would mean that all 9 players at the table get credited with having produced $5 / 10 = $0.55 of rake.
Each week, they will crown 125 big weekly winners. First place each week gets $2,000.
Good luck.
