Tour de Poker series
« on: July 01, 2012, 09:43:39 AM »
Every evening at 21:00 (GMT +2) you will be able to feel the heat at Bwin Poker tables by taking part in their new Tour de Poker series.  The type of tournament will differ from one day to the next. All of them will feature a buy-in of $5.50.

Poker is a game of patience and perseverance, of staying for the long-run and out-distancing lady luck. Bwin Poker are putting all this to the test in a tournament series unlike any other which runs from 30th June to 22nd July 2012. There are 4 types of tournaments, 4 different Leaderboards and a total of $16,000 in added prize money. Gear up and see if you can hang on to an early lead or sprint from behind on the last deal!

Based on when you signed up, your results in these tournaments and the number of players you manage to knock out, you can win cash from four different Leaderboards labeled yellow for overall performance, white for overall performance by novices, polkadot for most players eliminated throughout and green for best final table performances. The Yellow Leaderboard is worth $10,000; the other three $2,000 each. You can find further details by clicking on the associated links in the sidebar.

You can jump into the race at any time! Check out current standings on the respective Leaderboard page.

Here's how to take part:

Log in to Bwin Poker using your user ID.
Locate the "Tour de Poker tournaments" of your choice.
If you're a new player, clear the White Leaderboard ticket by following the instructions on the White Leaderboard page.
Finish as high as possible in each Tour de Poker tournament and knock out as many players as you can along the way!

Over the course of the full month of tournaments, you'll get to prove your worth in everything from lightning-fast turbos to grueling deepstack grinds. The buy-in is always $5.50 and the time is always 21:00 (GMT +2).

In your account, you'll have a "Tour de Poker White Jersey ticket" ticket. Use this ticket to sign up for a daily Tour de Poker White Coin Flip tournament that takes place at 20:45 (GMT +2). It doesn't matter where you finish (there's no prize money), it's just to let us know that you're set to go. Coffee is for closers. Anyone can ride along with the pack and have a decent finish just like anyone can cruise into the money once or twice. The real test in poker is whether or not you can put the pedal to the metal when it really matters – on the final stretch.

The Green Leaderboard rewards those who can make clutch plays to clinch titles.

To win the Green Leaderboard, you must accumulate the most points from going deep on the final tables in the Tour de Poker tournaments. If you don't make the final table – no score! Points are awarded as follows:
