Tournament, sitngo and ring games discussion thread
« on: November 04, 2011, 04:45:07 AM »
Talk about anything in here to do with a game you had be it a tournament, a sitngo or a ring game.

I thought it would be nice to talk about hands and anything poker in here.  I and of course other poker players, would love to hear about your game, your hand, your thoughts etc.

Just wondering what your biggest ever tourney buy in is?

The most I ever paid was £10 which is about $15.  I did win some cash but it wasn't huge although it was a big starting field with about 2000 players.  I think I came 18th.

Congrats Katt.  Small steps all forward is definitely the way to go and I think you are well on your way to being a great poker player.  $1 is a lot if you normally enter freerolls or small buyins like 10c.

Very well done.

Largest tourney I entered I think was $11.  Maybe twice in the last few weeks.  Had a little bankroll in my account and thought no problem spending a little more.  Donked out as usual.

Played a $5.50 - 10 seat sit n go last night.  Pays 3 places.

We are down to 4 players.  Blinds are 100/200.  I am dealer.  First 1 folds.  I have AJc and raise to 600.  The SB (chip leader) calls.  BB folds.

Flop is 7h - As - Qs.  SB bets 1583 and I go all in with 983 chips.  He shows Kc - Qd.

Turn is 5h.  River is Qc.

Once again........out.

blue, would you have done the same?

I don't know what blue would do, but I would have gone the same way you did on that hand. Unless I did one of my faint of heart, head for cover moves. That's where the luck of the draw comes in... that last queen could just as well been an Ace... ah well that's poker.

Cheekily,

budbluebootsrosekatt

I definitely would have done the same medtrans.  You made the right decision and once again the RNG works in the chip leaders favour.

Unlucky.
