i can tell ya how i play and it drives people nuts but i seldom fold unless i haven't a hand to play at the river , i do my best to bet every round til the river as well steady and persistently i randomly raise pre flop to stir the table or when i am holding a possible royal.. try this technique if you wish .. you will find much entertainment in this sport this way i know i do.

Sounds like fun but what about the serial all inners?

Do you fold or just go all in then?

i hate those who play rubbish hands, like 72 or 105 off etc and then win on river with two pairs... granted that in the long run they gonna go bust, but i just hate to see such donk play esp when it affects my bankroll hehhe

such a concept Katt , we are talking hold em where one card plays think about that.. i tend to think the donk idea is a fallacy.. and Blue if it is early .. i call if i have a non donkish one card hand. late in the game i let some one else call them out til i need to.

if the "donk" knows the game and the odds really well he will consistently minimize the size of the losing hands and mazimize earnings on the winning hands....betting with a good hand and a bad hand well can make the "donk" send you packing repeatedly

many times i purposely play the "donk"  role if i know i have good odds to inflict major pain on one or multiple players in the hand,   especially effective if you feel you know exactly what the other player has

I don't think anyone mentioned the "name calling" in the chat when you perhaps bad beat an opponent or just plain beat their rubbish.

I have certainly been called some names in my time as an online poker player, the worst of which began with a C but was spelt with a K to bypass the censorship.

I can take anything that is thrown at me "chatwise" at the table but when people start using language as in the above or talking about my Mother in a derogatory way, that really does make me see red.

The only thing I can do is to close the chat (where available) or click on my stats.

i do my best to avoid chat which is probably why i enjoy online poker versus live, i have options available to me that can alter my mood at the table.

And that is when I inform the casino of that players comments! It is bad sportsmanship, uneccessary, and against the rules of most if not all online poker sites.

Tim, I have been thinking about this answer to what I said in my previous post and quite frankly, I am confused... Are you talking about the two guys I described? With one of them getting on chat and telling the other he was stupid to stay in that hand with the cards he had?

If you are talking about that, perhaps you didn't understand what I was saying... Both players had the same pair in the hole (I believe it was 10's)... they went head to head with everyone else folding... and with the flop they raised and reraised when a third 10 was flopped and in the flop was a nothing card for either of them and a King. Still holding the exact same hand. Then the turn was a nothing card, and the river was another King. Both now had a full house and bet accordingly. Then when they showed their cards we all saw that they had each been playing identical hands throughout the hand. Everybody saw it except the one that went on chat to tell the other guy he was stupid to stay in the hand when he had stayed in with the same cards.

If I am off track about your response please straighten me out. Thanks.

Katt
