change of game plan since it was a buy-in with only 45 ppl,I'd probably fold and stay in the game.I should have payed more attention...just like when I'm playing,no wonder I lose more than I win!!LOL

I'd call...just cuz I like to live life on the wild side but seriously Id take in the fact that they are playing with rubbish...and winning and yep...call and hope for the best.

I hit another Queen on the flop and he lost and was out of the game.  I only called because of the poor play I had seen in previous hands (not from this player though). 

He was absolutely furious swearing and cursing me.  I just said "you made a mistake".  I didn't want to rise too much to his bait.  He obviously closed the table after his bad language attack on me, as no further comments were made.

Needless to say, I didn't go on to win/place.  It was very late at night and I really just felt so tired and wanted to get to bed.  Can't remember what I called on - must have been a rubbish hand!

yea i think i would have called too Blu , simply because it is a pair in hand only with two other pairs higher.. i'd think it was good chances at that tables's atmosphere.

btw i got my first elusive Royal Flush in a push to me at all in , over on the Merge network last week.. was a freeroll though and my stack was limping , so there wasn't much to it's win.

I agree, it's not a bad hand but with the luck that had been going on previously (other players), I was concerned.

This is a 20c R & A tournament on AdamevePoker for a ticket to the next stage of the Paris WPT.  This really is a low value tournament with really poor players. 

I've been watching one particular player who has been raising big with 5 7 off suit, 8 10, 7 9 etc.  I'm BB and I have    .  I've been min raised by this fish and normally, with such a small pocket pair, I would fold.  I decided to call purely because of how this player had played his previous hands.

The flop comes down     and the opponent bets min bet.

What would you do here?

It's a good hand you got there but if it were me, I probably would fold due to the fact that other players might have hands with bigger suits.

It depends on my last few hands....

If I had a few strong hands that I took down (say 3 out of 6) where at least 1 went to showdown. I would go for the bluff since I would have a decent intimidation factor working for me. If 1/4 my stack > or = 2xpot. 2xpot is what I would bet.

Now if I was new at the table or my past few hands were call/fold. I may raise by 4xmin just hoping for fold. If not I would flat call and see what happens on the turn. Unless it's later in the tourny where blinds are big, I would not fold to a min bet.

Because this player bet the minimum, I really thought he had nothing at all plus based on the hands that he had been raising on, I thought he would have 5 7 off or something like that.

When I did what I did I actually amazed myself because I just went all in.  There was no hesitation on his part and he just folded straight away.  I had read him right and won the pot.

I think it was a risky move but in the circumstances, the right move.

This was an old hand from a few years ago that I've never forgotten.  The reason I've never forgotten it is because it was televised! 

Each Saturday on Sky Poker, they used to hold the Poker Open which was always shown on TV after the event.  One week I decided to buy into the tourney which was a £10 buy in.  They still run and televise this event.

The play was terrible and I'd been watching a particular player who bet so high, everyone kept folding to his bets and we never got to see his hands.  He was basically stealing everyones blinds.

The tournament is about half way through, I'm BB and I'm dealt   .  I've been playing really tight but I'm in the top 33% of the remaining field. 

The blind stealing person decides he wants to steal my blinds and bets 1200.  I think the blinds were about 200/400 at the time.

What would you do in this situation taking into account all the details above, the previous play and not seeing this guys hands plus the fact that this is also being televised!
