I think this question applies to all forms of
gambling, but let me clear it up for this scenario. This deals with limit games (probably half of you already stopped reading) I play 5/10 and when I go to the casino I make sure i can have atleast up to ten hours of play time available if necessary.
Ok, I don't really care if I'm up 10BB to think about leaving. However, if I am up 15BB I say ok, I'll play but if I fall to only up 10BB or so I'll leave. (Which usually means one bad beat, or lots of nothing). I did that yesterday, up 140 get back to 105 call it quits in 2 hours. But yesterday was 7/7/07 so the casino was crazy and I waited an hour to go up one level in the garage to get out so I went back to the table to wait out the rush. (I broke even back at the table for another 3 hours--I did not lose back a hundred, end of day I was still up a 100) My concern though was when I saw the guy who took my seat, he was up a lot of chips, and then I thought about it. If only giving myself a 5BB variance after I reach my goal I'm and cutting myself too short. Recently it seams everytime I'm up 15 or 16 BB I leave up 10 BB. I'm thinking maybe once I hit 15BB dont leave until I am only up 5BB (givng 10BB variance) Actually I'm really not sure was I should wisely do, and tip would be appreciated.
