Hiya Poker Players, I feel like a roller coaster ride with sheer thrills of the prospect of US players to gamble online and poker is the first step. Then i come down for a big crash with the limitations of "intrastate" gambling. Which basically will only allow US players to play against those within there state. That poses a lot of restrictions and is nearly not as fun or offers Americans complete freedom. A start somewhere is better than no start at all but after waiting for 6 years to get back in the game i am anxious to get in the full swing of things. I hope the market opens up to a worldwide level of playing soon. It is a huge leap to our future in online gambling but i want it all NOW!!! Lips

It's a bit of an absurd situation really. I'm assuming that UK players etc won't be able to play at these US specific "intrastate" sites?

It's getting to the point that it's not fun anymore!!! Maybe I should learn how to knit, sew or become a artist or a actress!! I was planning on moving to Arizona in 2 years but maybe I'll just leave the US behind!

Right blue. Nevada will only be able to play Nevada players. And each state will be independent and can only play against peeps in their state.

You are concentrating so hard Rosebud LMAO I thought I'd move to the UK blue so you can teach me all you know about poker [/color] Heh heh. You would be too busy trying out all the casinos to bother with poker It's a bit of an absurd situation really. Right blue. Nevada will only be able to play Nevada players. And each state will be independent and can only play against peeps in their state. I have to say that really does suck in so many ways. blue

While I sit here crocheting... can't knit... I am thinking about this intrastate thing... I think that it will not stay that way once the federal government gets its laws worked out. At this time it is the choice of the state whether to allow it or not. With that being the case they can't impose that on other states it is strictly the one states own law and applies only to its own residents.
Not surprising that Nevada is one of the leaders in this because that is the main industry in Nevada. And Washington DC I am thinking is more of a test case for the feds since that is the seat of US Government.
So, all in all I think this is a baby step in the right direction.

Thank you blue... I can see it now! It may have been that I was over in the sportsbook section when I tried to view it... kept saying Page Not Found! All is well now though. Too cute! And an awful lot like what I look like crocheting! katt

I LOVE to crochet, katt. I have been doing it for 20 yrs now and find it very relaxing. We might have to swap patterns. My favorite is an angel filet pattern I do for all the new borns in the family. I am doing one for my daughter just because in a deep brown with colorful speckles. I tease her and tell her it because it reminds of when she eats crayons.

Lips Shame this topic derailed lips because you made a interesting post. I didn't realize this was the new plan in the works. Looks like more limitations are on the way. Have you heard of any news when it will open up globally? Not much interested in playing my states people only.
