In all reality, with the exception of showing hole cards. They were very good plays.

This is explains precisely why you must protect your hand and never give any clue of what you have. Unless doing so has potential to be more profitable.....

It's also a prime example of the importance of position and how "position" is not always just about the location of the dealer button.

I can not say that I would have played either hand differently given the exact same situation. I could only hope if I had the AJ that it was not on video. Cause that sh** would suck yo!

But what I don't understand is that the guy with the pocket 9s knew the other guy had beat him with his AJ and then he bet all in!  I just don't get it - what on earth was he thinking?

I don't know but you may have found the very utmost stupid hand with that one blue! He was in another world... perhaps he just concentrates so hard on his own cards that he does not think about the other players hand. He looks at his and it is a good hand, so go for it.... after all he had a Full House...

It's like this.... The guy that had the 99 played his hand the same way he would have if he had 22 from the perspective of the player holding AJ. Now given the fact that he showed his AJ he is likely thinking the other guy would not bluff and the check raise is exactly how he should play his hand if he did have 22 instead of 99.

I understand Orren.  It was a risky if not stupid all in though - the opponent was inevitably going to call with top full house but I do see what you are saying.  He represented pocket 2's.
