I actually did this bonus last year when latestpoker bonuses had there leaderboard challenge, and in the end it turned out to be a site where the bonus saved me my entire bankroll.
After getting locked out as soon as i deposited i thought i had just thrown away $100, but the admin at latestpoker bonuses managed to sort it out and got my account unlocked. So i first jumped on some .25/.50 Euro 6 man tables and nothing seemed to go right. When i wasn't getting a bad beat i seemed to be running into aces, and i had soon dropped $50.
I took a break and tried again the next day and it just got worse, i remember having 6 all in's in the space of 10 mins with a guy who was basically going all in every hand. Despite being ahead in 5 out of the 6 hands preflop i lost all 6 and had zero dollars left. It was only the second time i had busted out of a poker site, and i didn't like it. But then i remembered the free $10 bonus they offered no strings attached, and after a quick email i had another $10 to play with.
This time i dropped down to .25/.50 USD cash tables, and noticed all the crazies were gone. I was actually able to push these guys around a bit and doubled up without actually getting any hands. Then i cleared my first $10 of the sign up bonus and from nothing i was back up to $30. I decided to stick to the lower stakes and slowly crawled my way back to being even, with the sign up bonuses really coming in handy as i ended up clearing $60 worth and now i had my account up to $150. So even though i was down overall the bonuses had put me in $50 worth of profit which was great. On top of that i also got a monthly bonus of around $15 and finished 3rd in the leader-board challenge picking up $150.
So in the end my account is sitting with $320, when without the bonuses i would of been down $20. So i think the bonus review for poker time is 5 stars, and after getting locked out the staff turned out to be very helpful even extending my sign up bonus longer because of the time i was locked out.
I also learned that i just can't handle too many super aggressive players on the 6 man tables, and unfortunately there were no 10 man cash tables at poker time.
Now off to the next site, Bwin... Thanks for reading
