Beta testing has been completed at Party Poker and they have officially announced a Mac friendly version of their software which includes a variety of poker games, is now on offer. Bounty, Event, Freerolls, Regular and Rebuy tournaments along with Qualiiers and Shootouts are now available.for Mac users.

After the issue of licences to Bally Technologies and International Game Technology by the Nevada Gaming Commission, hope rises again for legalization of poker in the US. Bally CEO confirmed that an Internet poker products supply deal has alredy been reached with Golden Nugget Casino and it is estimated that these will be available by late 2012/early 2013.

Hollywood Poker has suddenly been closed. Customers have been redirected to Red Kings Poker. All accounts and balances have been transferred over to Red Kings Poker. The password and nickname remain the same.

Pokerstars MicroMillions Series II kicks off on 12th July until 22nd July 2012. The main event to be held on the final day of this second series boasts a $1 million prize pool with a mere $22 + $2 buyin.

Pamela Anderson is involved in a Facebook launch of the BamPoker app. If you are a fan of Pamela, she will be playing poker and chatting with players who sign up to play this fun and social game.

California Senator Rod Wright confirms the legalisation of poker is far from dead and he will not be giving up on it despite the online poker legalisation measure SB1463 being withdrawn.. Time is of the essence though as California's legislative session ends August 31 and the state legislature adjourns for the summer recess on July 6.

John Campos, the SunFirst Bank former Vice Chairman, was sentenced to 3 months in prison and forbidden to work in the banking industry after he pleaded guilty in March to processing $200 million in online poker transactions.

The Poker Players Alliance have arranged a meeting at the Rio in Las Vegas with many key members of the poker industry which just happens to coincide with the WSOP . Some of the attendees include Rep. Joe Barton of Texas, Greg "Fossilman" Raymer, ex-WSOP champ and currently a poker activist along with John Pappas from PPA and a couple of PPA directors.

And finally, the Big One for One Drop kicked off today. Live streaming is available at WSOP official site although it is erratic and keeps stalling or crashing. More news to follow on this huge charity tournament during the week.
