....Feltstars was gone.
It never fails to shock when a site you may have been playing poker at for a long time, a site that you trust and even love to play at, can disappear over night.
As you probably know, Feltstars closed it's doors for business a couple of days ago.
At first, you might think they are upgrading their site but when you start searching for information on the internet to find out why you can't login, the real story comes to light.
It seems that FeltStars were attempting to control their own cashier totally separate from the Merge Network.
There is an official statement from FeltStars found on another site which reads "With the current USA climate, depositing and withdrawal limitation we felt we could no longer offer the level of service that our customers deserve."
When a USA friendly site such as FeltStars shuts its doors with no warning, it doesn't take into account all the hours players have spent earning points, earning tournament tickets and raising their VIP level. There is no amount of money that can compensate a player for hours of graft (I use the term "graft" lightly here) playing poker and raising their game only to have it snatched from them whilst they sleep.
What makes this worse is the fact that it is a USA friendly site. USA poker rooms are dwindling quickly and it worries me to think about what USA players will do if any more sites leave the market.
As for FeltStars, there are many comments from a lot of upset people who are sad to see this site go.
It is suggested that players find a Merge Network poker site that already has it's own cashier and is not attached to the Merge Network cashier.
