The PokerStars World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) kicked off last week and over 20,000 players entered the first two events on day 1. With all the troubles with player funds at sites like Full Tilt and Purple Lounge, Nevada will require online poker operators to keep player funds segregated in a separate trust which cannot be accessed by the operator. This new requirement will stop sites helping themselves to player funds.
The iPoker Network has split into two separate tiers of poker rooms. The top tier must have a minimum of 6,000 active players and a new player increase of at least 650 per month.
