Jan 07, 2009
Chip Me Up.com joins Poker News.com stable. The online poker information portal Poker News has announced its purchase of the poker staking website, Chip Me Up.com, where players from across the world can buy and sell shares in their expertise in virtually all major poker events hosted by the top online poker rooms. Additionally, players can sell shares in their efforts in major offline events such as the 2009 Aussie Millions and World Series of Poker. Players simply sign up to Chip Me Up for free and create a user profile. To purchase shares in other players, interested parties browse the extensive list of featured events, choose the amount and/or percentage they wish to stake, and transfer the funds accordingly. 100 percent of the funds used to purchase that share will go towards the player's buy-in. Chip Me Up does not charge for shares purchased, however a listing fee does apply if a player wishes to sell a percentage of him or herself. Similar to eBay, Chip Me Up offers a feedback service ensuring players receive their entitled share. High profile and often controversial poker pro Tony G is the latest player who has decided to sell a piece of himself at the upcoming 2009 Aussie Millions.
