Latest stop on poker's global tournament schedule complemets the god of wind Cyprus, the Mediterranean island mythology claims is the birthplace of Zefiros, god of wind, will be the latest stop on the World Poker Tour. In an announcement this week, the poker tournament company revealed that it is partnering with Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino on the island to launch WPT Cyprus, which will commence with the Merit Cyprus Classic main event September 6 - 10, 2009. The tournament is expected to be filmed for television distribution in select European markets.
