World Open V Poker: Final Table Set

Star-studded lineup The final table is set at the Party Poker.com World Open V poker spectacular, and it includes some big poker names. The Matchroom Sport organised event has reached its climax after a run that has lasted since Sunday 11 October. For the first time, the final table action takes place in the prestigious Palm Beach Casino in the heart of Mayfair, London and spectators are welcome to the rail. Ambassador of Poker Mike Sexton and newly signed Party Poker.com pro Bodo Sbrzesny are in the final having succeeded in runner-up heats, and will face pros like Andy Black, Phil Laak, Jennifer Tilly and Luke Schwartz, along with Austrian online qualifier Jan Veit. A PartyPoker.com spokesman said: “The final table line-up is fantastic and is undoubtedly the strongest and likely to be the most entertaining in the event's history. We have a poker legend, a poker asbo, a celebrity couple, the mad former Premier League champion, an online qualifier and a member of Party Poker.com's new grassroots team.” The main changes to the event this year are that the starting stacks have been tripled, with the tables now being eight seat in the heats and seven players in the final. The buy-in is $10 000, with a total prize pool of $480 000 – the winner scooping $250 000. Television coverage will start on Five in the UK on October 28th and will be presented by Kara Scott.
