A New 'Martonas'?

Mystery Swedish player is setting the virtual high stakes tables alight In big-money action evocative of the spectacular wins and losses of the recently departed mystery high roller 'Martonas', a new name has been setting the virtual high stakes tables at Full Tilt alive. Using the nickname 'Isildur1', this reportedly Swedish national has been at the centre of some hectic action over the past week, most recently at the expense of equally daring online poker pro Tom Dwan. On Sunday the mystery man took Dwan for $1.26 million on several $500/$1,000 No-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha tables in an almost 7 000 hand session where over $30 million crossed the tables, with 43 pots worth over $300 000 each. The independent stats site MarketPulse reports that the two went at it for just under 600 hands initially on the $300/$600 No-Limit Hold'em tables, where Dwan went down $134 000. The duo then moved to the marathon session on the $500/$1,000 No-Limit Hold'em tables and topped off an exciting night with 122 hands of $500/$1,000 PLO. In related news, Dwan has signed with Team Full Tilt, ending weeks of speculation that this was on the cards.
