Full Tilt Poker Launches New Television Show "The Poker Lounge"

“The Poker Lounge" pits an amateur against five Full Tilt Poker pros. Arch Pokerstars rival Full Tilt Poker.com has nnounced a new televsion series for the United Kingdom, dubbed “The Poker Lounge.” The series, which pits an amateur against five Full Tilt Poker pros, will air on Channel 4 in Britain. Filmed in London and screened on Channel 4 weekly from June 21st to August 23rd, the show will comprise ten matches, each pitting a Full Tilt Poker online qualifier against five resident pros that could include the likes of Phil Ivey and Gus Hansen. Every show in the series will have a $20 000 buy-in, six-man sit and go structure, and a winner-takes-all prize pool, a format that has proved popular in the NBC franchise “Poker After Dark." Pokerheads with a yen to get in on the action as a Full Tilt online qualifier are invited to take part in satellites running from April 4th through to July 4th; Full Tilt has committed to eight $22 000 prize packages and the buy-in for each tournament is $640. Those on a smaller budget may want to consider a cheaper range of satellites at Full Tilt which carry a buy-in of only $10. Two filming periods are planned for May 14th to 16th, and July 24th to 25th.
