End Of The American Road For PokerTime

May 31, 2010
Time to call it a day in the USA, says Poker Time.com The popular Poker Time.com site on the Microgaming Poker Network is closing its doors to US players on June 1st, according to a communication to players this week. Owned and operated by the Fortune Lounge group, which merged its Royal Vegas Poker into the brand, the operation advised players: “Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, as of 1 June 2010, PokerTime will no longer be able to take bets from players residing in the United States. “If you currently have a balance in your account you will need to cash-in prior to 31 May 2010 as PokerTime will not be able to process cash-ins after this date. “We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you all back to our poker room should these conditions change.” The closure will undoubtedly trigger more speculation on recent moves by Microgaming which have been interpreted as a desire of the software developer to distance itself from the US market.
