What Does Doyle Know That We Don't?

Poker legend claims that former UB/AP owners are still around Doyle Brunson triggered interested speculation this week when he referred to Absolute Poker and UltimateBet in his blog, commenting intriguingly: “I know some of the former owners are still in the office at UB so they have to go the extra mile with their security.” Brunson, who went no further in identifying those concerned, was referring to the recent encryption security incident at Cereus poker network, and observed that the Tokwiro management was trying to do the right thing and keep things under control. However, he added “…but how on earth could they allow something like this breach of security? I know some of the former owners are still in the office at UB so they have to go the extra mile with their security. It is a mystery to me how poker players keep going there. There is still intense interest in any developments at Cereus, and much of that is generated by a perceived lack of disclosure on key figures involved in the original hole card scandals, and what, if any, price they paid for cheating thousands of players. UB/AP parent Tokwiro Enterprises ended up reimbursing over $22 million in what was widely defined as online poker's biggest ever scandal. In the absence of hard information, speculation and digging by several parties continues.
