Real Deal Poker Operator Achieves Isle Of Man Licensing

Gioia International gets the green light Gioia International, a company that has pioneered a poker game based upon the deal of a real deck of shuffled cards by the fully automated “Cut N' Shuffle” system, has been granted a gaming licence allowing it to operate on the Isle of Man. The company and its management had to satisfy the Isle of Man's tough licensing requirements and comply with stringent online gaming standards and player protection rules to achieve licensed status. Working with the assistance of local corporate service provider, ILS Fiduciaries, the licence was granted within 7 weeks of the application being filed. With the green light granted, this week marks the official launch of Gioia International Limited's online poker site Real Deal Poker.com, with its innovative and proprietary “Cut N' Shuffle” and “Game Check” systems. The technology is the first of its kind and replaces the typical “random number generators” (RNG's) used on other online poker sites, the company boasts. It offers real cards, real players and real poker and provides complete post game audit capabilities to ensure that every game played is fair. Each and every hand is played using a single deck of cards, burn cards are used, as in live games, and a player with the dealer button can execute a cut of the deck. Founder Gene Gioia, commented: “ILS, together with Isle of Man Government have provided excellent service and assistance throughout the whole process. Their knowledge and experience has proved invaluable to Gioia in ensuring a smooth and efficient progression in preparing the company for its recent launch.” Garth Kimber, who heads e-gaming development for the Isle of Man government, said: “At the heart of the Government's Department for Economic Development is a commitment to championing new ideas and groundbreaking concepts, and ensuring that the Island's business environment is as hospitable as possible to meet the needs of entrepreneurial companies such as Gioia International. “We are passionate about helping new start-up businesses to thrive, flourish and grow and have watched many e-Gaming companies do just that over the years, with many now established as the biggest and best in their respective fields.”
