12 hours and just over 4 levels of play concluded Day 1B of the $10 000 buy–in Main Event at the 41st World Series of Poker Tuesday night.

At 1,489, the second of four Day 1 heats, Day 1B attracted a larger number of entrants than Day 1A's 1,125, but there was still plenty of star-power in the field as the action commenced Tuesday afternoon..

Famous faces seen searching for their tables included EPT founder John Duthie, Joe Sebok, Alex Kostritsyn, Kevin MacPhee, Valdemar Kwaysser, 2006 Main Event Champion Jamie Gold, John Kalmar, Kevin Saul, Jean-Robert Bellande, Dan Harrington, Ivan Demidov, Gavin Smith and Justin Bonomo

By level 5 late Tuesday evening, tournament officials ended play with 1,101 players left and James Danielson in the lead on 201,050, comfortably ahead of nearest rival Filippo Candio on 167,300.

Notable departures as Day 1B ended were Ivan Demidov, Joe Sebok, Erick Lindgren, Justin Bonomo, Bertrand Grospellier, Liv Boeree, Jamie Gold, Arnaud Mattern and Shawn Buchanan.
