On home turf and supported by a vociferous home crowd, the 24 year old Londoner won his first World Series of Poker bracelet after beating defending champion and double bracelet winner JP Kelley heads up. The final hand saw both players move all in pre-flop with Shelley holding pocket threes against Kelly's Queen-Jack. The race was all but over when Shelley hit a set on the flop. "I can't believe that I've won a bracelet and a six figure cheque!” said Shelley of his win, worth GBP 133 857 - a good return on the GBP 100 he invested to win his seat in a special PKR staff satellite that took place the previous week.
