Year-over-year results not promising
According to a recent report about year-over-year results in the online poker sectors, as well as certain corporate financial reports, the business is still stagnating, despite the opening of the French market. The current assessments are that online poker traffic is shrinking at an annual rate of 1 percent.
The decline over the current week is 0.4 percent, and the following are some of the top 20 movers:
Merge Gaming Network 134 percent
888poker 8 percent
PokerStars 7 percent
It was further stated that, as the Cereus Network overtook the French-dedicated PokerStars site, it now occupies the eighth place with the Entraction Network, pushing Winamax.fr to the twelfth place and Ongame.fr edging out Svenska Spel in the eighteenth spot.
Year-over-year top negative results were recorded in:
Everest Poker - 64%
Cake Poker Network - 59%
iPoker Network - 31%
Cereus Network - 31%
IPN - 26%
PartyPoker - 24%
Full Tilt Poker -16%
The highest number of players per week on average is noted in PokerStars.com (30000), FullTilt Poker.com (15600), and Party Poker.com (3600).
