Anticipating Grand Final of World Cup Of Poker

The 2010 international Pokerstars event included representatives of 56 nations

Sweet anticipation has taken over all true poker fans, for the Grand Final of the seventh Pokerstars World Cup of Poker series is about to begin soon – it will start in the Bahamas on January 14. The whole event saw representatives of 56 nations fighting for prestige and one of the prizes in a $290 000 prize pool. The best national team will get the top prize of $100 000.

The Grand final will be held as a part of the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure at the Atlantis Resort and Casino. This year's innovation in the crucial event allows more players to take part in it; therefore, the players had to compete for a slot in their national four-player teams, and the winners would move on to the online divisional finals as part of each national team, competing with other teams to reach the live Grand Final in the Bahamas.

Those team members who make it to the World Cup of Poker Grand Final receive a prize package that includes travel and accommodation at the Atlantis Resort and Casino. There they will take part in a single table tournament to get their team the best possible starting chip stack for the World Cup of Poker Final Table.

In the live Final Table, all team members will rotate in and out of play until one team takes overall victory, together with $100,000 and the title of World Cup of Poker VII Champions.

The 2010 finalists come from Argentina, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, Spain, Slovakia, Italy, France, Ukraine and the United States, and their captains include some of the most reputable pros, including: Liv Boeree for the UK, Luca Pagano for Italy, and Arnaud Mattern leading the French team, there is also Dag Palovic for Slovakia, Nacho Barbero for Argentina, Neil Arce before the Philippines, as well as Spanish team leader Juan Manuel Pastor, and the United States team captain, Vanessa Selbst.
