Extreme Poker Session Enters Guinness Book of Records

Unabomber Laak breaks all records This week the Guinness Book of Records officially ratified the longest poker playing session, achieved on June 7 last year by Phil “The Unabomber” Laak, who played poker for 115 hours in a single sitting. Therefore, Unabomber now holds a record as the 'Longest marathon playing poker by an individual' record holder. According to Laak, it was no easy work getting the Guinness World Record certification. It took proof and verification of fact that included: witnesses, media coverage following the event, video evidence, drug tests administered by a doctor on site, log books detailing dealer's names and times, Guinness Book of World Records log books detailing the record breaker's activity and rest times. The record-breaking session was held at the Bellagio Poker Room in Las Vegas, and it started at 12:04pm on June 2, 2010 not stopping until 7:04am on June 7, 2010.
