Isildur1 Sees Successful Night at Pokerstars

Mar 08, 2011
$620 000 in one night – quite a lucky strike This week proved to be an excellent bankroll booster for Pokerstars pro Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom, who showed some great performance in a single night session on the Pokerstars online nosebleed tables and hammered Scott 'urnotindangr' Palmer over 745 hands, taking $620 000 off him. The two pros clashed in $50/$100 Pot Limit Omaha with a mandatory three-bet pushing the stakes higher, but such an action is hardly new to Isildur1, who became widely known for his inclination towards a rollercoaster type of play, with big wins and losses often amounting to millions of dollars. This is not an alarming situation for Palmer, however, as he still has over a million and a quarter at the two main high stakes poker sites Full Tilt Poker and Pokerstars. Yet, the week saw another big loser - the Finnish poker pro Patrik Antonius, who reportedly lost about $660 000 over 359 hands on the Full Tilt virtual tables.
