Another Blow for Cake

Bennett and Piette file a suit This week, Cake Poker Network received another serious blow in a period which seems rather gloomy for the company. This time, the blow comes from a different angle, as two men, Ryan Bennett and Francois Piette, filed a suit in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Canada, claiming that they had developed groundbreaking concepts and shared them with the heads of Yummy Interactive, who then established the Cake Poker Network. They also claimed that they were promised a 20 percent share in any resulting company in return, but they received next to nothing for their ideas and marketing expertise. As a result, they are requesting their 20 percent share in the suit, as well as damages for breach of contract, misrepresentation and conspiracy against Cake Gaming. The defendants in the suit include six separate Cake entities, two Yummy Interactive companies and eight principals behind Cake Poker.
