As for event 55: $50,000 Poker Player's Championship, the fourth day of the event saw 29 players back, led by Josh Arieh, but by the end of the day at level 20, only 11 top players were still in contention. At the end of the day, the chip counts were the following: Scott Seiver (3,891,000), Matt Glantz (2,563,000), Minh Ly (2,304,000), Brian Rast (2,252,000), Phil Hellmuth (1,720,000), Vladimir Shchemelev (1,510,000), Jeffrey Lisandro (1,067,000), Owais Ahmed (1,020,000), Ben Lamb (1,008,000), Jason Lester (795,000), and George Lind (550,000). A competition that began on July 5, Event 56: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em, attracted a massibe number of 3,389 players, who created a prize pool of $4.57 million. The end of the first day was proclaimed when ten levels were completed, and at that time, Ben Volpe was in the chip lead on 156,400, followed by David Zemel on 127,700. At level 8 only 189 players were left, led by Alexandre Gomes on 73,000 and Max Pescatori on 72,000.
