Brunson Tweet Causes a Stir

No additional comments from the tweet creator Even though he has a reputation of a poker prankster, Todd Brunson this week caused quite a stir with his Twitter post in which he stated that he met Howard Lederer, a person widely associated with beleaguered Full Tilt Poker, in Las Vegas. Allegedly, Brunson complained that he was short of cash, and that he had funds locked up in Full Tilt, and Lederer took him to a car, opened the boot and paid out $150 000. The tweet reads as follows: "Look who I just ran into.. I told him the wsop killed me and I was cash short……" "He asked how much I had on tilt and I told him 150k.. He said come with me. We went to his car and he opened his trunk and paid me!!!!!!" It's quite understandable that such a tweet caused uproar on message boards and poker forums, where players debated whether the Brunson claim was merely a joke. At this point there had been no comment from either Brunson or Lederer, but a statement resolving the debate may be expected soon.
