Uruguay's First Champ In Latin American Poker Tour

The Latin American Poker Tour sponsored by Poker Stars concluded this past weekend after day four of the main event. There were 422 entries that ended with 8 places that paid at the final table that lasted four-and-a-half hours. Uruguay's Alex Komaromi entered the final table as chip leader and ended in a heads up battle against Argentina's Claudio Piedrabuena. Komaromi claimed victory after an all-in call by Piderabuena and won first place for $244,720 leaving his opponent runner up for $141,220. This was the first time for a LAPT championship win for an Uruguayan.
