Travnik wins $144,400
The tenth of the World Poker Tour saw its second tournament finish – it was a Euro 3 000 main event in Slovenia, which was taken down by a young local pro Miha Travnik (20).
Throughout the game, Travnik had to overcome several low chip counts, and emerge dominant at the thrilling final table, which comprised himself, Swedish player Johannes Korsar, Ferdi Ciorabai of Romania, and Italians Gaetano Fortugno, Vincenzo Natale and Marcello Marigliano.
In the intense heads-up, the young Slovenian beat Vincenzo Natale to the main prize of Euro 84,500 ($144,400), a trophy and a $25 000 sponsorship to the 2012 WPT Championship at Bellagio in Las Vegas, NV. Natale had to settle to a still worthy runner up paycheck for Euro 70,700.
