Online Poker in Nevada Gets another Supporter

Michael Gaughan voices his support It seems like the idea of legalized online poker in the US on both the federal and state level has been growing on people and attracting more and more supporters. This week, the owner of Las Vegas' South Point Casino Michael Gaughan, who earlier this year supported online poker legalization as a logical development in the continued growth of the biggest gambling centre in America, actually took some steps to make sure his company is among the first to adapt if such regulation is passed. Namely, he announced that he is ready to launch an experimental free-to-play Internet poker site in the next few weeks, adding: "I'm just getting my feet wet but I expect that down the line I am going to be applying for a license.” Apparently, the site will be launched in cooperation with Las Vegas-based ZEN Entertainment, a company reportedly connected to brothers Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, who control the recently restructured Station Casinos and earlier this year showed an interest in an online poker venture with the now beleaguered Full Tilt Poker.
