Poker Comes to Google+

Zynga takes part in the traffic boost

After it has opened its door to the wider public last week, Google's social networking venture Google+ has seen its traffic boost by 1,269 percent. In the first week, almost 15 million people joined the network, which means that "in just one week, Google+ went from ranking as 54th most visited site in our Social Networking and Forums category to 8th place," stated Heather Dougherty of industry tracker Hitwise.

The US social games developer Zynga was right there to share the success, through games such as its online poker product. In its statement, the company specified: "It's no secret we're big fans of Google+ here at Zynga. Last month we announced that we partnered with Google to bring Zynga Poker to Google+, and today we're excited to add CityVille+ to the new game platform."
